            Metro Cash and Carry is a very successful wholesale hypermarket chain operating in Europe. It is different from chains like Billa and Carrefour because METRO is meant for wholesale customers, not retail. The cash and carry system is concentrated on the concept of self-service and bulk buying.

 

            Being the first international hypermarket chain operating in Romania, METRO has now 23 stores opened national wide. The clients of METRO need a card to prove eligibility for buying in wholesale and therefore the customers are professionals in specific fields like: gastronomy, crafts, own business, etc.
