L'Harmattan is a relatively small restaurant in a backstreet from Unirii Square, in downtown Bucharest. Its Moroccan and French based menu includes highly refined and sophisticated dishes, like the Taginé options. L'Harmattan is also one of a few Bucharest restaurants where desserts are not taken as an obligation (just to have a few ordinary options in the menu), but as necessary part of a meal.

Generally speaking, starters, main courses and desserts are all exquisitely looked after. The service is polite, discrete and efficient. A minus is the excessive lighting and the bread (which is not varied enough). But all in all, L'Harmattan is among the most recommendable places in Bucharest, especially for foreigners who, after some time in the Romanian capital, start to be fed up with so much dry grilled meat and long for an haute cuisine dish with cleverly thought sauces.
