La Dud | Romanian cuisine

La Dud (At the Mulberry Tree) is one of the most famous Bucharest restaurant, located not too far away from Piaţa Rosetti, The fame is given by the unique experience lived by the customers who come here: ruby wines, calf borsch, steaks and salads, fine music in a very comforting set.

In the summers, La Dud uses its beautiful terrace surrounded by an old style wooden fence, all under the immense crown of a mulberry tree. When the weather gets colder, the old and charming house adjacent to the terrace (where it is said that Eminescu used to stay), the bar on the main floor and the two rooms from upstairs are gathering diverse types of clients, from artists to politicians, from interesting people to normal people. The restaurant is opened daily from 10.00 to 01.00, except Sunday, when the clients have to wait 14.00 to enter.
